hello september...

the high today was 101 degrees... texas, i do not understand you!

today, i refilled my cinnamon-sugar, made cinnamon toast after reading this blog post, and enjoyed this lovely smelling candle:

i have a feeling there will be pumpkin muffins in the near future, aka this weekend!

fall is coming (maybe not in tx, but...) we shall celebrate!

epic-ness

so a dear friend made this amazing card/book that needs to be shared! the pictures of the inside of the card/book didn't turn out very well, so i will bless you with the content this way...

Well, I guess it's only 9 months... give or take. Then (hopefully) you'll be back! (Phew!)

my birthday balloon

amy gave me this balloon on my birthday last august and it is still alive...

(someone may be getting this for her 24th birthday, it's almost like the traveling pants but better!)

and this past week, we revisited the russian camp classic- cheesy ramen!

(clarification- we make this while in russia hence why we call it "russian," the term is used loosely!)

Summer wedding #3: one of Jarrod's roommates got married 2 weeks ago; congratulations to Will & Liz Mott! They had a photo-booth at the reception which was such a fun idea, complete with props...

and a normal one...

tonight we attend our last wedding for the foreseeable future, we have really enjoyed getting to see a large group of our friends almost every weekend!

'tis the season...

...and we have 3 more weddings to go in the next 4 weeks!

As part of our fundraising, we made t-shirts that say "I am loved" (which is the theme for the second half of our trip!) and 1 John 3:1, "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God" in Russian.

We are selling them for $20, which pays for your t-shirt and one shirt for an orphan!

ode to... friday

1. music therapy at work (good for both the kids and the teachers!)
2. training on a new programs (learning new things and meeting new kids is great!)
3. catching up with not one, but two amazing friends (phone calls make to drive home fly by!)
4. j-man coming home early from work (plus a fun dinner date!)
5. partying it up with the harwoods (celebrating another year of sara!)
